Weekends - Learn More
A Weekend Experience for You

This could be THE Weekend for the two of you to Explore, Rediscover, and Reconnect. Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a weekend getaway that helps married couples rediscover themselves as individuals and as a couple. The Weekend is God-centered and comes out of the roots of the Christian faith. Our Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekends are Catholic focused, but we welcome couples of all faiths. Guided by a team of volunteer couples and a priest, each participant explores their relationship with each other, their spouse, and their family.

The Weekend format helps couples communicate openly and honestly, without any group sharing, therapy or marriage counseling.

Great Marriages Don't Just Happen, Couples Make Them!

All marriages need attention, effort and nurturing. Worldwide Marriage Encounter provides an opportunity for you to explore your relationship together and find ways to make it more fulfilling and stronger for a lifetime.

WWME is faithful to the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching that marriage is a covenant that exists between one man and one woman.  Any reference to marriage or couple made by WWME is in this context.

Give yourself this Gift

At Worldwide Marriage Encounter, you get away from the distractions of everyday life and focus on each other. The team couples set an atmosphere for open and loving communication. They model the method, and share their own life experiences, making it easier for spouses to talk with each other.

Although your conversations are private between you and your spouse, seeing other couples striving for a better relationship makes it easier for you to communicate openly.

Troubled Marriages

While Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekends have helped many good marriages grow into amazing ones, when there are serious troubles and you need more intensive help, we recommend you contact your parish priest  for counseling services.

In addition, we also recommend Retrouvaille a "lifeline" for troubled marriages.  For more information, please visit their website.
